What are same-day (immediate) dentures?

An immediate denture is a custom set of teeth made before your extraction appointment from 3D scans and impressions. After your remaining teeth are gently removed, the denture is seated right away, so you walk out with a full smile. It also acts as a bandage, protecting the gums while they heal.

As the gums settle over the following months we reline the denture for a snug fit. Many patients then move to a permanent denture or to implant-supported teeth.

Your options, from simplest to most secure

  • Immediate complete or partial denture. The fastest way to replace a full arch or several teeth, placed on extraction day.
  • Implant-supported (snap-on) denture. Two to four implants hold the denture firmly in place. No adhesive, far less rubbing, and a much stronger bite.
  • All-on-4® / All-on-X fixed teeth. A full arch of teeth fixed onto implants that only your dentist removes. It's the closest thing to natural teeth.

We plan every option with 3D CBCT imaging, all in-house in Exton, with no referral needed.

Is it painful?

Our patients are consistently surprised by how comfortable the visit is. We use The Wand® computer-assisted anesthesia, topical numbing and gentle extraction techniques that protect the bone, which matters if you want implants later. Mild soreness for a few days is normal and is usually managed with over-the-counter pain relievers.

Cost, insurance and financing

Most dental PPO plans cover part of extractions and dentures. We verify your benefits at no charge before you commit, and you get a written plan showing your exact cost. Flexible monthly financing is available, and if you don't have insurance, ask about the Whiteland Dental membership plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

Can I really get teeth the same day my teeth are pulled?+

Yes. That's what an immediate denture is. It's made ahead of time and placed right after your extractions, so you never go without teeth.

How long do immediate dentures last?+

An immediate denture is usually relined as your gums heal over 3–6 months. Many patients then switch to a permanent denture or implant-supported teeth for a longer-term fit.

Can my same-day denture be converted to implants later?+

Often, yes. Gentle extractions that preserve bone keep that option open. We can add implants later to snap your denture in place, or move to a fixed All-on-4 bridge.

Do you accept dental insurance for dentures?+

We accept most major dental PPO plans and verify your coverage for free. Medicaid is not accepted.
