Tooth Extractions · Exton, PA

Painless Tooth Extractions in Exton, PA. Gentle Hands. No Surprises.

If a tooth can't be saved, how it's removed matters, both for your comfort today and for your options tomorrow. Our dentists use The Wand® computer-assisted anesthesia and gentle, bone-preserving techniques, so most patients feel pressure, not pain, and the site is ready for an implant if you want one.

When is an extraction needed?

  • A tooth broken below the gumline, or cracked to the root
  • Severe infection or decay that a root canal can't save
  • Impacted or painful wisdom teeth
  • Advanced gum disease with loose teeth
  • Preparing for dentures, implants or orthodontics

We always explore saving the tooth first, and we'll explain why if extraction is the better choice.

How we keep it comfortable

Comfort starts with numbing: topical gel, then a slow, computer-controlled injection with The Wand® that patients describe as dramatically gentler than a traditional syringe. We wait until you're fully numb, explain each step and remove the tooth gently, often in sections, to protect the bone and surrounding gum.

Protecting your jaw for the future

After a tooth is removed the jawbone naturally shrinks. When you may want an implant later, we can place a socket preservation graft at the same visit to help maintain bone volume. Dr. Janyavula has worked with the companies that develop these regenerative materials.

Aftercare and recovery

Most patients return to normal activities the next day. Bite on gauze for 30–60 minutes, avoid straws and smoking for several days, eat soft foods, and use over-the-counter pain relief as directed. You'll leave with written instructions and a direct number to call.

“In the absence of my dentist, who was out of the country for 2 weeks, this dental practice welcomed me the following day for an appointment to treat an infected cracked molar. Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

Will my tooth extraction hurt?+

You shouldn't feel pain during the procedure, only pressure. Our numbing with The Wand® is designed to be gentle, and mild soreness afterward is usually handled with over-the-counter medicine.

Can you remove a broken tooth the same day?+

Often, yes. Call 610-873-4003 as early as possible. Same-day emergency appointments are available.

Do you remove wisdom teeth?+

Yes. We remove many wisdom teeth in-office. If a tooth is deeply impacted, we'll refer you to a trusted oral surgeon and explain why.

Should I replace an extracted tooth?+

Usually. Gaps let neighboring teeth drift and the bone shrink. Implants, bridges and dentures are all options, and a bone graft at extraction keeps implants possible.
