Key takeaways

  • Compare itemized, written quotes that list the same components.
  • Ask who places and who restores the implants, and who maintains them for decades.
  • A free 3D CBCT scan and a second opinion protect you from surprises.

Advertising for dental implants is everywhere, from large implant centers to local practices. Both can deliver good results. What matters is understanding exactly what you are being offered. These nine questions help you compare any two plans side by side.

1. Who places the implants, and who makes the teeth?

Ask whether the same doctor plans, places and restores your implants, or whether you are handed between providers. At Whiteland Dental, implants are placed and restored in-house, so one team owns the result from scan to final teeth.

2. What exactly is included in the price?

A real comparison needs the same items on both quotes: implants, abutments, temporary teeth, the final bridge or crowns, any extractions and grafting, sedation and follow-up visits. Ask for an itemized, written estimate.

For reference, a single implant with crown at our office typically ranges from $3,500 to $6,000, and full-arch treatment typically $20,000 to $30,000 per arch. Your exact fee is written after a free 3D consultation.

3. Which implant system is used?

Established, well-researched implant systems make long-term maintenance and parts easier. We use Swiss-engineered implant systems backed by decades of peer-reviewed research.

4. Is a 3D CBCT scan part of planning?

A 3D scan shows bone volume, nerves and sinuses. Every implant consultation at Whiteland Dental includes a complimentary CBCT scan.

5. Are all my options explained?

You should hear about single implants, implant bridges, snap-in implant dentures and fixed full-arch bridges, with the trade-offs of each, not only the most expensive option.

6. What are the final teeth made of?

Ask about the material of the final bridge and how long it is expected to last, and whether the temporary and final teeth are both included.

7. Who looks after the implants for the next 20 years?

Implants need regular, implant-safe cleanings and checks. A local practice you already visit for cleanings makes that easy.

8. What happens if something needs adjusting?

Ask how repairs, adjustments and warranties work, and how far you will travel for them.

9. Can I get a second opinion?

Any confident provider welcomes it. Bring your plan to us and we will review it line by line. See how to get a second opinion on a full-arch quote.

Frequently asked questions

Are implant centers more expensive than local dentists?

It depends on what is included. Compare itemized written estimates that list implants, abutments, temporary and final teeth, grafting and follow-up.

Does Whiteland Dental place implants in-house?

Yes. Implants are planned with a 3D scan, placed and restored in our Exton office.

Can I bring another office's implant plan for review?

Yes. Bring your plan and any scans to a free consultation and we will review it with you.
